Minor Illness Nurse
The practice nurses are available to offer advice. They deal with minor injuries, dressings, removal of sutures, travel and childhood vaccinations, ear syringing, blood tests, cervical smears, contraception and run several clinics.
Healthcare assistants offer a wide range of services including weight clinics, blood pressures, dressings, suture removal, new patient checks, etc.

The midwife gives 24 hour emergency cover to ladies antenatally and postnatally. She offers care and guidance during pregnancy, delivery and the postnatal period. In addition support is given to families with difficulties.

The team consists of Sisters, Staff Nurses, Enrolled and Auxiliary Nurses. Their duties include visiting patients in their homes, offering professional advice, assessing patients' needs and providing nursing treatment.
The health visitors may be contacted on 01234 897401.
The health visitors visit all families with children under five years of age. They also provide information, advice and support to all age groups, particularly at times of physical and emotional stress.
Appointments are only accessible following referral from a GP.
